Best weight bench on a budget?

I'm a beginner at lifting weights. I've done it before, but never got into like I am now to actually want to start buying equipment. Something very traumatic happened to me not too long ago and I'm finding that running/exercising is the only way to clear my mind off things.. I know this is a brand that people don't prefer to buy on here, but I just want something for now. Later on the more I get into it and the more weights I start lifting I will defiantly buy something better and a power rack. I was hoping to find a multi use bench. I would like to try to stay under $250 for a bench.

Edit: well it appears I cannot post a link because I don't have enough posts? But the Brand was Marcy and it was called the Diamond Elite standard bench that also you do do curls and legs.

Stay far away from Marcy.

Have you considered the PFID130X? Its not a bad bench at $150.

Cost with pipes would be like $100 but you get safeties, no wobble, weight capacity limit is better than Marcy/Weider. You can save time and money just stacking wood, books or whatever to get to the right height for good range of motion. Helps if you're strong enough to warm up with large diameter plates.

Or just floor press, but also most convenient with large diameter plates. Or learn to power clean and do overhead press. But that will get technical.

For legs you can do zercher and front squats.

Is that why everyone is using wobbly Weider and Marcy benches, because they're good?  No, it's because they're cheap, widely available, and don't require a lot of jerking around with plumbing supplies. I don't recommend the plumbing route. Just use the photo lazily to illustrate the idea that you can do it on the floor, further describing the idea in text.

And it's an acceptable alternative to cheap benches, with safeties included. Many people that go for cheap benches are not interested in paying much more than a cheap bench sells for, which leaves out power racks.
